Good Schools Roc - So Does Collaboration

Too often systems meant to serve kids and families are not set up with their needs or, least of all, convenience in mind.

ESN and our partners are working with families and schools to eliminate barriers and streamline access to the information and services they need to be successful.

This year, for the first time, Rochester parents can learn about and apply to multiple, high quality public charter schools in one place > goodschools.roc.org > thanks to collaboration on the part of our community’s charter schools, spearheaded by E3 Rochester.

Rochester public schools – both traditional and charter - use various lottery systems. In most cases, parents must select or apply to multiple schools in hopes of getting their child into their top choices. Historically, the cumbersome task of researching, selecting and applying to multiple schools fell on busy parents.

Goodschools.roc.org functions as both a hub for parents, and a valuable tool for participating schools. School information and application processes are streamlined for parents, and enrollment management, data collection, and school lottery automation simplify admissions for schools.

We applaud our partners Discovery Charter School, Exploration Elementary Charter School for Science & Technology, and Young Women’s College Prep Charter School for joining this important collaborative effort. And, our thanks to E3 Rochester, for leading the way in making this collaboration possible.
