Education Success Update - April

Doubling Down @ Education Success Foundation

  • Prevention services are not "optional" for Monroe County children & families; work with us and state representatives to keep Community Optional Preventive Services (COPS) in the NYS Budget. Read more about our outreach here.
  • Did you miss our invite NOT to come (to our April Fool's Day Soiree, that is)? This unique event- which was certain not to be canceled- was the only time 'doing nothing' supports success for local students. It's not too late to support the non-event of the season @ bit.ly/AprilFoolsESF

Keeping Students Centered @ EnCompass: Resources for Learning

Our team has remained laser-focused expanding both our reach and our impact on our community's students. So far, we have:

  • EnCompass Afterschool Remix is providing 95 RCSD students of Schools 39 & 33 with hands-on, afterschool learning in a new way! Project bags are dropped off to each students' home and daily virtual instruction and connection is provided by EnCompass teachers.
  • Our students are inspiring the afterschool programs of tomorrow. From 10,000 applicants to the Ralph C. Wilson Jr. Foundation Generator Z project, 10 EnCompass Future Ready teens were chosen to become "Generators" and share their amazing ideas with the world. Learn more about Generator Z here!

Structured for Success @ The Norman Howard School

  • Silver lining? Outdoor learning! We have long built outdoor experiences into our curriculum and now they are built into our campus. A new, Adirondack lean-to joins our suite of campus spaces where students can engage with learning differently
